Tech rarely fails in a demo. It fails on the mountain, in the mud, or under pressure before a live show. I write about what those environments teach us, and what the AI world should probably learn from them.
Simplicity is survival
Every extra dependency is a failure point. Clean, local, and repeatable is better than clever.
Reliable systems fail gracefully
Assuming reliable internet is a luxury. Real systems have to fail gracefully.
Monitoring isn’t optional
Whether it’s logs, sensors, or a camera feed, if you can’t see it, you can’t fix it.
AI needs grounding in reality
Smart tools are only smart if they hold up in real-world conditions. Theory doesn’t debug reality.
What I work on
I’ve spent over 20 years building systems that span physical infrastructure, full-stack development, and now AI tools that automate, assist, and integrate with the real world.

- AI tools & automation — AI-powered tools, streamlined workflows, and practical AI that makes daily systems smarter and lighter.

- Writing & documentation — I explain things clearly. Internal guides, how-tos, and technical writing.
- Project rescue — fixing broken handoffs, duct-taped builds, and ideas that stalled mid-way.
